Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. ("K" Line) is launching a new container service between Asia and the Black Sea, in a space-sharing partnership with Yang Ming Line, China Shipping and Zim Container Service. Beginning in mid-September, the service will deploy seven vessels, each with a capacity of 4,000 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs), on a fixed-day weekly frequency. The port rotation will be Shanghai, Ningbo, Nansha, Port Kelang, Istanbul, Constanza, Ilychevsk and back to Shanghai. "K" Line will contribute one vessel to the service, with the remaining six coming from Yang Ming, China Shipping and Zim. "K" Line is currently offering its own feeder service between Port Said, Egypt and Black Sea ports, under the name of BSX (Black Sea Express).
