VFA has joined with Blue Dot Solutions to design and extend a mobile inspections survey service from VFA's flagship software offering, VFA.facility. Data in the field will be collected, then provided to VFA.facility for the creation of capital projects, plans and budgets. VFA is a vendor of facilities capital planning software and services. Blue Dot is a provider of mobile and wireless workforce management products. Blue Dot has already begun collaborating with VFA, with the resulting software to run on a full-screen mobile device. The technology will support the on-site collection of facility inspection survey data and digital images for a wide range of sectors, including financial services, government, education and healthcare. The tool will first be rolled out and used by VFA's internal facilities-inspection team, then transitioned to the vendor's third-party business partners.
