Solution: A cross functional team of 60 associates worked together to coordinate a rollout plan, validate and implement the new system. The sites were transitioned in a phased approach. During each site transition, Kenco documented lessons learned to help improve later implementations. This resulted in smoother transitions and greatly reduced the need for overtime labor required to meet services levels during the subsequent rollouts.
Results: All sites went live within a 5-month time frame with absolutely no supply chain disruptions at any of the DCs. In the first year, there was a 6.8% reduction in labor expenses across the network.
