The service utilizes Crowley vessels and a single point of contact with the company. The LCL offering is complemented by Crowley's traditional full-containerload (FCL) vessel service with regular sailings to Puerto Rico from Jacksonville, Fla. and Pennsauken, N.J., and to Central America and the Caribbean from its South Florida terminal in Port Everglades, Fla. The cutoff in Chicago for Puerto-Rico-bound LCL cargo is every Thursday at noon, for arrival in San Juan 13 days later. Crowley said it is further enhancing the LCL service with a second sailing from Jacksonville to San Juan, with departures scheduled for every Thursday and Saturday. The Caribbean and Central America LCL cargo cutoff in Chicago is also every Thursday at noon, with sailings to various destinations from Port Everglades the following week. Other logistics services available from Crowley include warehousing and distribution, cross-docking, air-freight consolidation and cargo insurance.
