The certification allows GAC to clear customers' cargo in all 50 states and Puerto Rico. The company said it can now assert complete internal control of the shipping process. The license was issued to a newly formed company, GAC Brokerage LLC. It will be managed by Luisa Holloway, vice president of brokerage and import manager. GAC recently won certification under the voluntary Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism program (C-TPAT). Membership requires adherence to strict security criteria set by U.S. Customs and Border Protection and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. GAC has 10,000 employees in more than 300 offices worldwide.
