Skyway Software has entered into a partnership with BEA Systems, Inc. to integrate their respective products and create a joint deployment platform for service-oriented architecture (SOA) governance. Skyway helps companies to simplify software deployment. BEA is a provider of infrastructure software. The deal calls for Skyway to integrate its products with BEA's AquaLogic Registry Repository, a component of the latter's BEA WorkSpace 360 offering. Customers will be better able to use existing technology to create new SOA-based programs, the companies said. Skyway is using BEA's Metadata Interoperability Framework to plug into the AquaLogic Registry Repository, which can automatically collect and maintain services that are modeled and created in Skyway Visual Workspace. Once in the repository, the services, service assemblies and related assets are governed and made available for broader reuse. Visual Workspace allows software developers to work alongside business end-users to visually prototype requirements, then develop applications directly from the model.
