The latter is an international operator with a network of eight agencies in France and three in Russia. It has 287 employees and a turnover of about $105m in 2012. The deal is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2013, following approval by French regulatory authorities. According to Norbert Dentressangle, the acquisition will allow the company to achieve "critical mass" in its French operations. It will also strengthen the provider's presence in Russia. Norbert Dentressangle's freight-forwarding activities, launched in 2010, now achieve annual turnover of around $288m.
