Service-oriented architecture, or SOA, represents an architectural approach to making interoperable systems a sustainable reality. However, having gained immediate acceptance in a small number of large enterprises, it now seems that the number of SOA projects has plateaued. Should this be regarded as a temporary blip, or does it mark the decline of this particular bubble?
