The 72-door facility will serve customers in greater Indianapolis, as well as areas north and south of the metro region, including the cities of Anderson, Muncie and Columbus. UPS Freight's existing 80-door Indianapolis Service Center will cover the western metropolitan area. Both facilities are located near major thoroughfares, including interstates 65, 70, 74 and 465. UPS Freight, a less-than-truckload (LTL) carrier that also offers truckload services, operates nearly 200 service centers. It provides regional and long-haul capabilities for LTL shipments, serving customers throughout North America, Puerto Rico, Guam and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
