SAP AG has devised a new series of on-demand software applications, aimed at its growing base of mid-sized company accounts. Available for a monthly subscription fee, SAP Business ByDesign manages key business processes. Designed for prospects with between 100 and 500 employees, the software complements existing SAP products, including Business One, Business All-in-One and Business Suite. According to SAP, it reduces the need for user training, hardware investments, service, support and I.T. staffing. Built on a service-oriented architecture (SOA), Business ByDesign gives users the flexibility to adjust their business processes in line with changing market demands, the vendor added. Using the software, functional departments within a company can interact and share critical information. Prices in the U.S. for the new product start at $140 per month (including software, infrastructure, services and support), with a minimum of 25 users to be licensed per customer.
