The move brings the company's distribution network in China to more than 130 facilities, covering 87 cities. The two new locations are in addition to UPS healthcare facilities that opened last year in Shanghai and Hangzhou. They will provide distribution and warehousing services to shippers looking to reach customers within China. The Chengdu facility includes more than 47,000 square feet of warehousing and distribution space. It is 2.5 miles from the Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport. The Shanghai location has more than 70,000 square feet and is less than two miles from UPS's international hub at Sha Pudong Airport, China's largest airport by air cargo volume.
