A cooling system evaporates water over time, with the process activated by the push of a button inside the box. The lighter packaging weighs less than half of some gel-pack systems, FedEx claimed. The system offers regulatory compliance for both infectious substances and non-infectious clinical samples. The packaging can be used in combination with the SenseAware technology and FedEx Priority Alert services.
