Initially available in limited release to select customers, the tools cover customization, search, cost management, factory ordering, compliance, driver messaging, remarketing and data integration. The intent is to improve fleet management, administration and communications, both on the Web and through mobile devices. Based on feedback from fleet customers, the enhancements precede release of the new management platform known as MyFleetOffice2. According to GE, fleet managers will gain the ability to proactively recommend solutions for fleets of all sizes and needs. They will be able to complete a broad range of administrative tasks quickly, easily and entirely online, the company claimed. GE said it will provide broader availability of the new tools, along with the enhanced platform, later this year.
