The Warehousing Education and Research Council (WERC) has developed WERCipedia, a new interactive online glossary of supply-chain professionals. The work incorporates the "wiki" approach, whereby readers can submit their own content, adding new terms and modifying the definitions of existing ones. WERCipedia contains an extensive searchable collection of terminology, acronyms, abbreviations and other information. The wiki technology makes the resource open to peer review and approval by the warehousing and logistics community, WERC said. Available to users at no charge, WERCipedia can be found at WERC Online. The current edition contains 3,755 entries and is expanding as a result of professional contributions. WERCipedia is being offered in partnership with Industrial Data and Information, Inc. WERC's members hail from all sectors of the distribution industry.
