Part of the vendor's MOVE platform for multimodal transportation, logistics management and trade compliance, the tool aids in processing security and customs declarations for companies that import to, or export from, multiple countries. Users can enter security or customs information in one format through the same interface, regardless of final destination. The software then handles all translations to local customs message formats, and shares them automatically with relevant local customs bodies. CustomsXchange can now be used to file electronic customs declarations with customs authorities in 11 countries. Nineteen countries are set up to handle compliance with security requirements, Kewill said.
