Zebra Technologies Corporation says it has begun shipments to the U.S. Air Force to provide RFID printer/encoders for the USAF Cargo Movement Operation System (CMOS) operating at more than 214 locations worldwide.
CMOS is a Defense Department support system designed to automate and streamline logistics processes and cargo movement through the strategic application of automatic identification technology.
Mark Reboulet, of the Air Force's automatic ID program office, says: "The addition of RFID capability to the CMOS system will further enable the already robust system to improve the overall efficiency and productivity of our supply chain, logistics, materials management, and other logistical operations in the U.S. and anywhere in the world where military personnel may be deployed."
