The move was made to accommodate increased demand in the Southwest Florida region, the carrier said. The new facility contains 16 doors and employs a staff of 13. It is located roughly midway between Miami and Tampa on Interstate 75, handling a variety of freight generated by the region's retail, tourism and manufacturing industries. The center provides direct service to Punta Gorda, Cape Coral, Fort Myers, Naples, Lehigh Acres, Labelle, Bonita Springs and Estero. Old Dominion is a less-than-truckload provider of regional, inter-regional and national services. It also offers a broad range of supporting logistics services, including ground and air expedited transportation, supply-chain consulting, transportation management, truckload brokerage, container delivery, warehouse and household moves.
