Coyne Airways has started up a new service to its ninth destination in Kazakhstan, with the introduction of twice-weekly Boeing 747-200F flights to Almaty. Located in the east of the country, Almaty is Kazakhstan's largest city. On Oct. 4, Coyne was to begin offering Thursday and Sunday departures from Hahn Airport in Germany. The airline said it would also market capacity to Moscow, served by the 747F en route to Almaty. Coyne said it is actively selling the service to freight-forwarding customers in the U.S., Canada, the United Kingdom and Ireland. It is working with interline partners to transport cargoes to Almaty from the U.S. and Canada on a through waybill. From the U.K. and Ireland, shipments will be trucked to Hahn to connect with the 747F departures. Shipments are expected to include consumer goods such as electronics and perishables, as well as chemical equipment and motor vehicles.
