Computer Management helps air carriers to streamline the security filing and customs-clearance processes, both directly and through coordination with ground handlers and container freight stations. Descartes chief executive officer Edward J. Ryan said the deal will give Computer Management’s customers access to a wider geographic range of customs filing and other value-added services, drawing on Descartes’ Global Logistics Network. Computer Management has offices in Florida and New York. The purchase price of the acquisition was $6.6m, Descartes said.
