The move addresses strong growth in medical-device and pharmaceutical markets throughout the region, the company said. In the months ahead, it plans to open or expand facilities near Mexico City, Mexico; São Paulo, Brazil, and Santiago, Chile. The additions will expand UPS’s network to reach nearly 70 percent of healthcare and manufacturing markets in Latin America. In Mexico, a multi-client facility now includes nearly 78,000 square feet of healthcare-dedicated space. In Brazil, a new location offers 80,000 square feet of space, to open in the third quarter of this year. And in Chile, an expansion project will include 21,000 square feet of dedicated space.
