The arrangement builds on a joint effort that began in 2011. The deal with McAfee will complement Siemens’ existing offerings with firewall, security information and event management; end-point security, and global threat intelligence, as part of its Managed Security Service. The companies said they will continue to cooperate on development of new security products based on industrial protocols, to serve the process and factory-automation industry.
