Dubbed Pharma.2.World Active, it maintains the correct internal temperatures required for the transport of pharmaceutical and life science products, regardless of external temperature. The carrier is making available specially designed air-cargo containers under an agreement with Envirotainer and CSafe. At the same time, Saudia Cargo has undertaken a major upgrade of its facilities in Riyadh and at selected origin points. In another company announcement, Saudia Cargo is now operating two weekly B747 freighter services from Europe to Doha. The service operates on Wednesdays from Frankfurt and on Sundays from Amsterdam. Saudi Airlines Cargo operates a fleet of 15 freighters, in addition to selling belly capacity on 145 passenger aircraft of Saudi Arabia’s flag carrier Saudia. The airline’s cargo network encompasses 225 destinations.
