WACO and Drewry first announced their cooperation agreement in December 2012. Since then the two organisations have provided industry feedback and pricing data to each other, some of which is published in Drewry’s monthly Sea & Air Shipper Insight.
Drewry has also attended two of the bi-annual meetings organised by WACO for its forwarder members around the world and spoken at these events on market developments. Individual forwarder members in the network have also requested market intelligence and forecasts from Drewry's research arm. “The input which we receive from The WACO System helps Drewry quantify market trends and verify our work on independent consultancy studies when needed”, said Philip Damas, director at Drewry. “We also find that members of The WACO System, together, have global market knowledge in nearly all geographies.”
