Following successful trial movements in April, Yusen has extended the service to all transport lanes within its network. The option is suitable for shippers of electrical products, chemicals, food products and motorcycles, among other items, Yusen said. The specialized deck is the result of a collaborative development effort between NYK and its research and development subsidiary MTI. According to Yusen, the new system will result in improved loading efficiency, reduced transportation costs and lower carbon dioxide emissions. Yusen Logistics has more than 440 offices in 38 countries.
