QuestaWeb, Inc., a vendor of trade and logistics-management software, has released TradeMaster 4.0. The product is aimed at importers, exporters, customs brokers and freight forwarders. The new version integrates login authentication procedures with active directories. It automates the remote distribution of documentation via e-mail and printouts. A fully automated Denied Party List screens down to the name and address level for each supply-chain participant. The software is compatible with both Oracle 10g and Microsoft SQL Server 2005. In addition, it implements Microsoft's .NET Framework Version 2.0, featuring new caching capabilities with faster code execution, enhanced transmission security via authenticated streams, and advanced data protection made possible by encrypted passwords, keys, connection strings and memory. Current QuestaWeb customers are automatically upgraded to version 4.0 at no additional charge, the vendor said.
