The site is focusing on new-customer sales and the execution of road-transport services. It is co-located with C.H. Robinson’s global forwarding office. Heading up the new location is Oliver Schmidt, an industry veteran with a background in road transport, air, ocean, project cargo and supply-chain consulting. C.H. Robinson has also named two new branch managers: Michel Datz in Basel, Switzerland, and Jochen Mueller in Düsseldorf, Germany. C.H. Robinson’s European network consists of more than 50 offices and 1,000-plus employees. It recently opened offices in Innsbruck, Austria; Rotterdam, the Netherlands and Istanbul, Turkey.
