The move is intended to help the country build up its infrastructure, the first step toward becoming a major exporter, FPS said. Leo Myanmar Logistics Co. Ltd. was scheduled to open its doors on Dec. 1, with its first base in the capital Rangoon. The operation is a partnership between majority shareholder FPST/Leo and Myanmar’s EFR Group of companies, the latter with interests in liner agency, freight forwarding and logistics. The new company will become the FPS member for Myanmar. In another company announcement, FPS Group has launched a new app for iPhones and Androids, enabling members and customers to track ocean shipments passing through the FPS network. The app also provides access to the history of FPS, details of its global network and an outline of services offered by members, along with a channel for contacts and enquiries.
