The app was specially designed for carriers, providing information needed on the clearance status of shipments. The app optimizes both the U.S. Pre-Arrival Processing System (PAPS) and Canadian Pre-Arrival Review System (PARS) for mobile use. Livingston’s Speed Scanner functionality allows drivers to use a barcode scan to check shipment status. For shipments without a barcode, the driver keys in the shipment information to find the status. There is no need to phone a dispatcher for that purpose, Livingston said. The app also features “set-and-forget” functionality for shipments entering Canada, so that truckers can obtain PARS shipment alerts with the click of a button. The Tracker app is available for download on iOS, Android and BlackBerry.
