Last Mile Logistics Group, Inc. (LMLG), through its Chesapeake Logistics LLC operating subsidiary, has been chosen to provide resident and commercial delivery services on behalf of Eagle Global Logistics. The deal covers the states of Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, Pennsylvania and the District of Columbia. LMLG will pick up freight from Eagle's facility in Odenton, MD, then schedule and deliver merchandise to Eagle customers through its own vehicles and uniformed delivery crews. LMLG specializes in final delivery for suppliers of consumer goods. It conducts business operations in the mid-Atlantic markets through the Chesapeake unit. Based in Elkridge, MD, Chesapeake handles all aspects of delivery, including customer scheduling, delivery assembly and packaging removal. Eagle Global Logistics, with 2006 revenues of $3.2bn, recently merged with CEVA Logistics, formerly known as TNT Logistics.
