Covering 134,548 square feet, it is dedicated to a major U.S. retailer and will include 18,500 pallet locations. The additional facility is part of the company’s three-year growth strategy in Australia, according to managing director Ian Pemberton. Yusen’s capital investment in the project was approximately $1.5m. Yusen has 12 offices throughout Australia, with a staff of 420 providing international freight forwarding, in-house customs clearance and contract logistics services. Yusen Logistics is part of Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK Group).
