The Grande Ghana joins three vessels already deployed on the service. It is a roll-on/roll-off, multipurpose vessel with capacity of 2,000 cars or vans, 2,000 linear meters of rolling cargo and 800 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs). The ship is equipped with two cranes on the weather deck, with lift capacity of 40 metric tons. Launched in 2010, the MEX service moves rolling cargo, containers and project cargo, linking the Mediterranean ports of Valencia, Marseilles, Genoa, Livorno and Salerno with Casablanca, Morocco; Dakar, Senegal; Abidjan, Ivory Coast; Lagos, Nigeria; Cotonou, Benin and Lome, Togo. The Grimaldi Group deploys approximately 20 container/ro-ro vessels in three services between North Europe and West Africa.
