The New Andes container service of "K" Line and Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd., linking Asia with ports in Mexico and the west coast of South America, is adding direct calls at Qingdao in China. The lines are now offering weekly direct calls at Qingdao, whose hinterland in Shandong province offers "the highest potentiality of growth" in North China in terms of export cargo production, import cargo processing and local consumption, the principals said. Port rotation of the enhanced service will be Hong Kong, Chiwan, Xiamen, Shanghai, Qingdao, Pusan, Manzanillo, Buenaventura, Callao, Iquique, Valparaiso, Lirquen, Yokohama, Keelung, and back to Hong Kong.
