Solution: Given the large volumes of barley imported by water and the availability of return cargo, the port of Antwerp offered the best strategic location. Moreover the client’s terminal in Antwerp already had its own deep sea container quay, which in view of increasing containerization offered further opportunities for expansion.
Results: Since the start of its activities in the port of Antwerp the client’s site has been continuously developed so that it is now the largest malt production plant in Europe and main hub for the company’s activities thanks to the strategic location in Antwerp.
