According to the vendor, the new product will improve the TMS visibility of road trips and provide real-time data to customers, partners and monitoring teams in that country. Functionalities within Orion Mobility include a barcode reader, global positioning system capability for real-time point-to-point tacking, data collection and mobility services. The application also includes an electronic fence, which identifies the vehicle approach, arrival and departure from destination, in addition to allowing for control of time and distance, submission of occurrences, automatic alerts and photos to Orion TMS at the end of the trip.
