FreeFlow, a provider of inventory asset-management services, has forged a strategic channel partnership with Andlor Logistics Systems, a vendor of reverse-logistics software for manufacturers, distributors and third-party logistics providers. The deal combines FreeFlow's product for the handling of returned, excess and obsolete inventory with Andlor's users of technology for managing product flow in the reverse-logistics pipeline. In the process, the companies are pairing reverse-logistics software, which tracks and returns through fully hosted auctions, with strategic business services for managing returned inventory. Returned products are auctioned through the channel mechanism appropriate to the condition, status and location of the inventory. FreeFlow's branded and anonymous auctions provide a private forum where only approved brokers can view and bid on a company's inventory. Auction and "member privilege" features improve bidding performance, resulting in higher recovery rates on all goods, the partners claimed. Andlor implements and supports several major software applications for the logistics industry.
