Hand Held Products, Inc. and SOTI, Inc. have formed a partnership to sell remote-device management systems to users of Hand Held's Dolphin mobile computers and image kiosks. Hand Held is a producer of image-based mobile data-collection tools. SOTI develops mobile-device management and security software. With SOTI's MobiControl product, customers get access to features such as software provisioning, remote control and help-desk functionality, screen and video capture, remote-device diagnostics, file transfer and advanced security. As a result, the partners claimed, IT teams can better manage their mobile workers, without requiring mobile devices to be brought into a central depot. SOTI's MobiControl software is available for Hand Held devices to customers worldwide, and is fully supported by Hand Held Products' Global Services team.
