Beginning in January, 2016, WWL will offer a regular weekly service from key European ports. Previously, the company maintained a fortnightly service in that trade. The two additional sailings per month also are intended to strengthen WWL's connections between Europe and the Port of Baltimore, MD, while boosting transshipment opportunities to Latin America, the Caribbean and Asia via the company's port hub in Manzanillo, Panama. WWL said it will deploy its latest-generation vessels on the route, each with cargo capacity of more than 200 metric tons. Once the new set of locks at the Panama Canal commence operation, WWL plans to introduce its post-Panamax HERO class of vessels to the Americas trade.
