The service links Ecuador to Malta in 19 days, with transshipment available in Malta for distribution of Ecuadorian bananas and other products in global consumer markets, including the Mediterranean Sea, North Africa and Middle East. CMA CGM claims to offer the only direct, weekly service between the Gulf of Mexico (Veracruz, Altamira, Houston and New Orleans) and Ecuador (Guayaquil). From Guayaquil, transshipment is available to Peru, Chile and Colombia.
