The Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce announced today that this year's World Trade Week Kickoff Breakfast, to be held on May 3, will feature a discussion with Alan F. Horn, chairman of The Walt Disney Studios.
As Chairman of The Walt Disney Studios, Horn oversees worldwide operations for The Walt Disney Studios including production, distribution, and marketing for live-action and animated films from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Lucasfilm. He also oversees Disney’s music and theatrical groups.

We are confident that his rich experience in production, distribution and marketing will bring a unique perspective to the global trade community,” said L.A. Area Chamber Senior Vice President Carlos Valderrama.
A prominent figure in the film and television industry for four decades, Horn has overseen creative executive teams responsible for some of the world’s most successful entertainment properties including the Harry Potter film franchise, the hit television series Seinfeld, and most recently, Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
For 90 years, World Trade Week has been dedicated to educating the public on the importance of global trade and its contribution to our local, state and national economy. Under the guidance of its founding sponsors – the L.A Area Chamber, Los Angeles World Airports, and the ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles – the original week-long observance has now grown to more than 30 events held each year throughout the month of May in the counties of Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego and Ventura.
The World Trade Week Kickoff Breakfast will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 8:30 – 10:30 a.m., at the JW Marriott at LA LIVE. The event, which will include feature more than 600 executives and members of the diplomatic corps, will commence the month-long celebration of world trade in Southern California.
