Solution: Understanding the customer's environment with onsite visits (collecting and cleaning data) by focusing on "as-is analysis" thanks to GEODIS' in-house network design and flow mapping tools and methodologies. Then, building the network scenarios regarding its constraints and evaluating the real cost impact of each solution.
Results: Providing both a complete data model and an "as is model" with quick wins and recommendations with plan to save 1% ($96,000) of the total spent on transportation freight. The project was self-funded by those savings.
