Solution: Since 2012 the customer has been shipping paper rolls directly from Finland to the port of Antwerp. The combination of maritime and logistics activities in one location were of key importance. In addition, the large storage capacity available at the port allowed stock to be stored close to the final destinations.
Results: Shipping its products directly to the port of Antwerp enabled the customer to save transport costs. The smooth flow of freight in the port of Antwerp resulted in short delivery times for the customer.
