Errors can be instantly identified and triaged before the shipment leaves the D.C., allowing for the making of necessary corrections and avoidance of added cost and time. Valid shipments generate automatic advance shipping notification and are sent for delivery. Upon receipt at the intended retail location, associates can use an RFID (radio frequency identification) handheld scanner or reader to verify shipments and ensure authenticity, as boxes are unloaded from the delivery vehicle. The tunnels are constructed of fabricated metal, and insulated for sound and radio frequency shielding to eliminate noise and stray RFID tag reads.
