The Toughpad FZ-F1 and FZ-N1 are 4.7-inch Android and Windows devices, featuring a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. The devices are especially well-suited for transportation and logistics, manufacturing, retail and healthcare, Panasonic said. They can be used for such tasks as inventory management, shipping and receiving, delivery routing, parcel tracking, retail store line busting, and barcode medication administration. Both models feature an ergonomic design with angled rear barcode reader that allows the user to scan items without bending at the elbow or wrist. Other features include a glove-enabled, multi-touch sunlight-viewable display with rain-sensing mode. The units have a drop rating of six feet and can endure 2,000 consecutive 3.3-foot drops, the vendor said. They can operate beyond a typical eight-hour work shift on a standard, field-replaceable battery.
