Second Asia Cold Chain Show 2016 (ACCS) is shaping up well and is riding well on the success path of its first edition. It is undoubtedly is the only tradeshow on cold storage, cold transport and cold supply chain sectorsand is scheduled to take place from 06-08 July 2016 at BITEC in Bangkok, Thailand. “The show has established itself as an essential and must go event in the global cold chain industry calendar,” said Kiran A Mathur, Managing Director, Manch Communications (Thailand) Co. Ltd.
Co-located with Asia Warehousing Show (AWS) and e-commerce Logistics 2016, ACCS 2016 comes as a ‘package’ offering a holistic experience to attendees. The event is segmented into cold storage, cold transport, warehousing, materials handling, cold chain and supply chain sectors. Since its first edition in July 2015, the show has received tremendous support from the industry and has grown multi fold. “The Asia Pacific market for logistics is growing at a CAGR of 7.6 per cent (2011-2016) to reach US$4.09 trillion within this year. These figures indicate the region’s need for investments to achieve the growth rate projected by 2020,” Mathur added.
ACCS 2016 Showed Significant Growth in Attendee Leads
The previous show successfully entertained 2684 visitors with a concurrent conference attended by 211 delegates. Delegates were from various industries with major attendees from 3PL, Retail, FMCG, and Pharmaceutical industry. The show visitors were from many industries including around 14% from food, pharmacy 4%, agro produce 7% and so on. Exhibition saw quality visitors hence converting 42% exhibitors to re-book onsite for next edition of the show.
According to Kiran Mittal, "Manufacturing and Supply Chain professionals were greeted with a remarkable display of traditional, new and emerging equipment and technology solutions that are key to their productivity and profitability."
ACCS 2016 Show Highlights
The show visitors will get a chance to know unique and modern things required in a refrigerated warehouse. The ones seeking some information to improve their supply chain, material handling, cold storage etc., the Asia Cold Chain Show 2016 is the most appropriate platform for them.
The show garnered contribution from leading associations including Japan Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Industry Association, Warehouse Silo and Cold Storage Business Association , Cold Chain Association of Indonesia, Federation of Cold Storage Association of India, Global Supply Chain Council and Vietnam Supply Chain Community. “Trade Associations are vital to mobilize the sector and to work towards its development. It is encouraging that these industry associations have extended their support. The members have been invited to attend the show in large numbers,” concluded Mathur.
Further, the concurrent conference Cold Chain & Warehousing Summit will feature a variety of topics based on the theme of ‘Optimising Profits and Mitigating Risks in Cold Chain Business’ which would give an insight into the various aspects of modern cold storage, refrigeration and refrigerated transportation. Industry experts will lead a broad range of show floor educational sessions covering all aspects of cold storage and cold supply chain operations.
