The update includes new features for mobile applications. Built on the vendor’s existing Velocity platform, it allows users to optimize legacy Web applications for the new generation of Android mobile-device hardware. As a result, warehouses can upgrade from older devices and take advantage of modern-day touchscreen technology offered by Android mobile computers. The release includes support for Web host applications and non-U.S. locales, as well as the addition of Javascript scripting to help optimize task workflows. Users can parse barcoded data into fields, highlight important information on the fly, and customize audible tones for alerts and errors. With the help of CSS inserts, they can reformat screens for mobile access.
