Apex specializes in trans-Pacific lanes, handling more than 270,000 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) in 2015. Kerry said the deal gives it a dedicated sales team on the ground to oversee its business in the U.S. market, as well as enhanced supply-chain visibility from origin to destination. The move is part of a long-term international freight-forwarding strategy to expand Kerry’s sales network and coverage worldwide. Kerry currently has more than 550 office locations in 40 countries and territories, managing 45 million square feet of logistics facilities worldwide.
