It provides an online price quote and booking system for customers to obtain door-to-door intermodal service linking southeastern U.S. and South Florida markets. Having the railroad’s intermodal rates on LoadDex’s centralized pricing tool allows customers to see both rate and capacity options and determine the best mode of transport, according to James R. Hertwig, president and chief executive officer of FECR. It offers the opportunity to purchase freight via EZ Buy between the southeast U.S. markets of Atlanta, Charlotte and Jacksonville, and the South Florida markets of Fort Pierce, Fort Lauderdale and Miami, by entering a pickup and delivery zip code or city within those areas.
