BDI Laguna, a supplier of consumer electronics and computer products to major retailers through logistical services, is expanding its warehouse facility in Reno, NV. The new warehouse, covering 200,000 square feet, is due for completion in early March. It will provide 24-hour operations, including cross-dock, pick and pack, shipping and a less-than-truckload (LTL) operation. Like BDI Laguna's other facilities in Georgia and New Jersey, the Reno location will run on a warehouse management system from Manhattan Associates. "This new facility will provide an outstanding West Coast gateway to the company's suppliers, enhanced drop-ship services to the western region of the country, and will support BDI Laguna's continued strong growth," the company said. Executive vice president Joel Blank said the warehouse will service current customers while providing a foundation for growth, and diversification into new product categories. The company has been growing its third-party logistics business, he added. The Reno warehouse, Blank said, will help to optimize customers' supply chains.
