The direct flight will deploy a Boeing 777-300, with capacity of more than 40 LD3 containers. The service complements American’s existing route between Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) and Hong Kong, which began in 2014. According to the airline, customers in Hong Kong and surrounding regions will have greater access to its network of more than 200 destinations in North America and Latin America. LAX offers Hong Kong-bound shippers direct services for fresh goods and produce. High-demand goods from Asia include mechanical parts, garments and electronics. In Hong Kong, American will continue to be represented by Antares International as general sales agent, and Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited as handler.
