Lightning Joe's, a domestic freight forwarder based in New Freedom, Penn., has launched a frequent-shipper incentive program for customers using its Checkered Flag LTL (less-than-truckload) service. For every Checkered Flag LTL shipment tendered to Lightning Joe's, shippers will receive a credit of 10 miles on their accounts. Once a customer achieves 500 miles within a 12-month period, its next shipment under the program will be free. Customers earn double miles for Friday shipments, the forwarder said. It expects the reward program to benefit loyal customers as well as attract new business. Checkered Flag LTL offers the convenience of guaranteed delivery times at no additional charge, Lightning Joe's said. Customers using the LTL service are automatically entered into the promotional program, known as The Lightning Joe's 500. There are no forms to complete, and rewards are automatically applied, the company said. Lightning Joe's ships LTL from the East Coast to Illinois, California, Arizona and Nevada.
